Optical fiber sensors that can detect displacement are divided into two categories according to their structure : one is a sensor that uses optical fiber to transmit light and detects the amount of light at the optical fiber end; the other is a sensor that uses the changes in transmission characteristics caused by the deformation of the optical fiber itself.
