Depth Sounder
An instrument used to
measure the depth of the seabed. Its working principle is that the transmitter
transmits a sound pulse to the seabed, and the sound pulse is reflected by the
seabed and received by the transducer. In this way, the time difference between
the echo pulse and the transmitted pulse is measured, and the depth of the
seabed can be directly read through the indicator. The depth sounder can also
be used for measurement of inland waterways, reservoirs, underwater projects,
etc.
